Hash-tags and followers and retweets oh my!

I’m undoubtedly revealing more about my age than i should,

But, do any of you remember hearing the Jackson 5 recording of Rockin Robin?

The lyrics went something like this:

He’s rockin’ in the treetops all day long

Rockin’ and a’boppin and singing this song

All the little birds on Jaybird Street

Love to hear the robin go Tweet Tweet Tweet

Rockin’ Robin

I feel more like a plucked chickadee

mumblin’ and a’stumblin’ and cluckin’ off key

But I know that Twitter skills are some I need to master, so, I’m trying.

Thanks to Jane Friedman, Kristin Lamb, Kelly Rae Roberts and countless others too numerous others whose blogs are helping me come up to speed.

  1. I’ve learned some of the Twitter ropes, Sharon…but I guess I just don’t ‘get it,’ and am dragging my heels about doing more there. It’s not that I dislike it, I just think I prefer a slower pace, lol. And slow Twitter is NOT. But I’ll get there. And if I can…anyone can. So don’t sweat it…you’ll get there, too. Life was a lot easier when it was just land line telephones and snail mail, wasn’t it? 🙂

    • It truly was easier before. I consider myself pretty savvy about computers but the whole social media platform idea is a bit overwhelming. I’ve dived into the stream and am dogpaddling as fast as I can.
