Goddesses in your Stories

Once again it is Monday and once again we are talking about character development.

I find the following two books are very helpful when I am building female characters.

Goddesses in Every Woman by Jean Shinoda Bolen and The Goddess Within by Jennifer Barker Woolger and Roger J. Woolger.

Each of these books describes and interprets the characteristics of of the following goddesses: Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hera, Persephone and Demeter.

Using these characteristics (alone or in combination) can greatly deepen the personalities of the characters you are creating.
